Our Story
New Britain ROOTS began as an idea in 2013 to create hands-on experiences for students to learn about where their food comes from. Founded by executive director Joey Listro, today ROOTS promotes gardening, urban agriculture, food access, and education throughout New Britain to build a more just and equitable future through food for city residents.
